Today, the CACFP Roundtable shared community experiences that have been gathered through a survey and talking with CACFP community members. You can review the 30 minute recording here.
Bottom Line (so far): Operators, state agencies, and sponsors are excited to serve healthy, nutritious meals. That is why they work so hard to be part of this program. They say yes to healthy meals — and they also say: we need time, we need funds, and we need flexibility, and these changes need to be rooted in the reality of what it takes to procure, prepare, serve, and get people to eat these meals.
The survey is still open - please fill it out and share far and wide. This includes sponsors of homes sharing with their family child care providers. We want a robust response to reflect on and include in this conversation and eventual comments and education. We will update the analysis and share with the community and partners in a brief.
We have one session left in our Growing Our Voice series.
Session 5: From Insight to Impact — How to Comment on August 20th. This session will focus on how to comment and how to make your voice unique and make the greatest impact on USDA. Register here.
