You may have noticed that the links to Spanish resources on federal websites, including Team Nutrition, no longer work.

On March 1, 2025, President Trump signed an Executive Order Designating English as the Official Language of the United States. On July 14, 2025, the Justice Department released guidance on how to implement this Executive Order.

It is time for us to come together and share resources in other languages that our agencies may have access to or have downloaded. You can email me, and we can make sure everyone has access to these needed resources.

Three resources that we can share right now:

  • National CACFP Sponsors Association (NCA) has many of the Team Nutrition resources in Spanish on its website. You can find them in the Resource Directory.

  • The Institute of Child Nutrition still has the CACFP Recipe Box on its website. However, ICN is funded by federal dollars, and we do not know if they will have to remove this as well. You can create recipe books and download them, and print them - maybe it's time to take advantage of the fact it is still accessible, knowing there is a possibility it might go away.

  • Meal Benefit Income Eligibility Forms in different languages are still on the USDA website. These include:

    • Letters to Households: Child Day Care and Tier II Providers and Adult Day Care

    • Letters to Tier I and Family Day Care Home Providers

    • Meal Benefit Income Eligibility Form: Child Day Care and Adult Day Care (with Instructions)

Let's come together and support each other, our programs, and our CACFP community so everyone has access to the information they should have access to - regardless of what is going on at the federal level. Email me: samantha@cacfproundtable.org if you have resources in other languages that you are willing to share, and the Roundtable will ensure the community has access to them.

It's not too late to register and join us in Monterey, CA, next week! Be with your people and get the latest information in CACFP. Register and learn more here.
