- 01Our Annual CACFP Conference is for everyone in our CACFP Community. That means... if you operate, administer, or support the Child and Adult Care Food Program -- including child care centers, sponsors of family child care homes, at risk afterschool programs, adult day care, emergency shelters, state and federal agencies, researchers and advocates -- there will be something for you! If you are a family child care provider, you are welcome to attend too! We would love to have you. We also know that leaving your child care Monday through Wednesday is challenging for many providers. You might also find our Family Child Care Community of Wellness meetings to be most applicable to your work. Contact samantha@cacfproundtable.org (samantha@cacfproundtable.org)for more information about that community.
- 02The CACFP Roundtable is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment in which to learn. We will continue to monitor and update safety precautions for the Annual CACFP Conference regularly and coordinate with trusted national resources, state and local public health agencies, and the hotel hosting the event. Please do not hesitate to contact us (mailto:conference@cacfproundtable.org)to further discuss how we can best accommodate your individual needs.

- 05Coronado is a sun‑soaked island community filled with coastal paths, sparkling shorelines, and welcoming neighborhoods that invite you to slow down, explore, and reconnect. This distinctive destination blends natural beauty, rich history, and a famously mild Southern California climate — all just minutes from the heart of San Diego. The breathtaking coastal setting offers the perfect opportunity to relax, rejuvenate, and refocus. We hope you become a fan of Coronado (https://www.discovercoronado.com)and perhaps extend your stay to make the most of your time in this remarkable place. Explore iconic attractions like the historic Hotel del Coronado,(https://hoteldel.com) the wide sands of Coronado Beach, the shops and cafés along Orange Avenue, and the scenic Silver Strand.(https://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=654) Enjoy biking, paddleboarding, local galleries, waterfront dining, and the many peaceful spots tucked throughout the island. Coronado’s central location also makes it easy to experience the vibrant energy of downtown San Diego (https://www.sandiego.org/beaches-neighborhoods/downtown-san-diego)— including Little Italy, the Embarcadero, and the Gaslamp Quarter — all just a short ferry (https://coronadoferrylanding.com/ferry-info/)or water taxi ride across the bay.
- 06Flying to San Diego The closest major airport is San Diego International Airport (SAN) — just across the bay from Coronado and typically 15–20 minutes from Loews Coronado Bay Resort by car, depending on traffic. SAN is a compact, easy‑to‑navigate airport served by all major airlines with frequent domestic and international flights. Getting from the Airport to Loews Coronado Bay Resort • Rideshare or Taxi The fastest and most convenient option. Approx. travel time: 15–20 minutes Estimated cost: $25–$40 depending on time of day Pick‑up zones are clearly marked outside each terminal. • Rental Car SAN has all major rental car companies located at the Consolidated Rental Car Center, accessible by a quick, free shuttle from both terminals. Parking is available at Loews (discounted conference rate ($30/night) apply). A car is optional — Coronado and the resort are easy to navigate without one. • Shuttle Services Several shared‑ride shuttle companies operate from SAN and can be pre‑booked. Good for attendees traveling in small groups. Pricing varies by provider. • Public Transportation This is the most economical option, though not the quickest. Bus routes connect SAN to downtown, where you can transfer to routes serving Coronado. Expect 60–75 minutes of total travel time. Getting Around Coronado & San Diego Once you’re on the island, getting around is simple: • Free Hotel Shuttle: Loews offers a free shuttle to Silver Strand Beach and Coronado Village. • Ferry/Water Taxi: A scenic way to reach downtown San Diego, Little Italy, the Embarcadero, and the Gaslamp Quarter — all just a short ride across the bay. • Biking & Walking: Coronado is known for its flat, bike‑friendly paths and walkable neighborhoods. • If you want, I can also create a shorter version, a bullet‑only version, or a Wix‑friendly version with minimal formatting for your dynamic page.
