About the Summit

This three hour, on-demand session offers a focused exploration of Pediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD)—a condition affecting more than 1 in 37 children under age 5. Originally presented live on March 10, 2026, the training reframes “picky eating,” highlights the complexity of feeding in early childhood settings, and clarifies the difference between typical mealtime challenges and PFD.

Feeding therapists Allie Glazer, M.S., CCC-SLP/L, and Angela Hughes, M.S., CCC-SLP/L guide participants through the four domains of PFD, common myths, and the sensory and skill-based factors that often drive feeding difficulties.

You’ll learn how to recognize red flags, use screening tools, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and apply the practical 3 P’s Framework—Proactive Preparation, Practical Presentation, and Partnership—to support positive, pressure-free food experiences.

Spanish-language recordings are available. Please select your preferred language option when purchasing.

Angela learned that feeding was a part of the SLP’s scope of practice during observations at a children’s hospital and ensured that she received training during graduate school in the NICU, a feeding clinic, and in EI.  As a life-long learner, Angela strives to support families with intervention supported by current research as well as through the lenses of neurodiversity affirming practices and responsive feeding therapy.
